The History of the Pan American Games

The Pan American Games were inspired by the Games Central American and Caribbean countries and some of the Latin - American IOC propuserão a kind of regional competitionbetween the Americas with the intention of developing the sport in the region.
In Basil Pan was held in 1963 in Sao Paulo attended by 1665 athletes and 22 countries.5,662 participants from 42 countries who competed for a total of 332 events in 44 sports.
Its founders were: ARGENTINA, BRAZIL, CANADA, COLOMBIA, COSTA RICA, CHILECuba, El Salvador, Ecuador, United States, GUATEMALA, GUYANA, HAITI, JAMAICA, MEXICO NIEARÁGUA, PANAMA, PARAGUAY, PERU, AND TRIDADE TOBAGONO,URUGUAY AND ALSO VENUZUELA.
